With Luke we looked into depth of the different narrative theories. I am now going to apply this narrative theory to a a media product which will be a music video. The music video I have chosen is "Baby" by Justin Bieber. In this music video we see Justin, talking about how much he loves a girl, however every time he tries to get close to her she just keep pushing him away. The girl is a good example of Propp's idea of princess/prize - she is the princess to Justin. Furthermore we see Levi-Strauss' theory applied to the music video, there are binary oppositions present. For example there is a constant creation of conflict or opposition between Justin and the girl he has a crush on (the girl keeps pushing him away) and this propels the narrative.
